Dreamy Wedding on the Metolius

House on Metolius | Camp Sherman, OR | August 31st, 2019

Tracy, better known as “Ace” to her friends and family, & Evan were married on a glorious summer day of August 2019. House on Metolius was their wedding venue, which features epic views of the Cascade mountain range and provides a private, elevated vibe.

Their hand-crafted welcome sign mimicked a national forest sign and was the perfect way to welcome all their guests to their hidden oasis for the weekend. The ladies kicked off the day with hair by Gold and Arrow Salon and makeup by Kaelin McDowell Beauty at one of the on-site adorable vintage cabins. The bridesmaids were dressed in mixed designs, sage green dresses. Ace wore a flowy, lace dress, and her beautiful brunette locks were adorned with a eucalyptus floral crown created by Woodland Floral Design. Evan and his groomsmen wore navy blue suits with floral ties.

The ceremony set included an octagon-shaped wooden arbor with fresh eucalyptus, a view of the crystal blue Metolius river, snowy mountain peaks, and white garden chairs. As Ace’s father began to escort his daughter to the aisle, he stopped and had a “proud-dad” moment. He took a selfie with the stunning bride and all their guests prior to walking her the rest of the way to her husband-to-be; this cracked all the guests up and they struck a pose for his unplanned group selfie. Victoria Carlson Photography captured this moment flawlessly and provided her phenomenal photography services throughout the celebration. After exchanging their handwritten vows to each other, Ace & Evan smooched, and then that is when the party started!

After enjoying more photos and cocktail hour, the guests were invited to dine al fresco with a delicious dinner provided by Bleu Bite Catering. The reception tables were set with sea foam linen napkins, hand-cut wooden drink coasters and centerpiece risers, and fresh floral arrangements. Each guest seat featured a future note for the couple, which had “Love Libs”, well wishes and predictions for the guests to fill out. The evening was topped off dancing the night away with a live band and Sisters Bakery donuts on a wall!

We were thrilled to provide our Day-Of coordination package for Ace & Evan to ensure all the details were taken care of and to allow for them to truly enjoy themselves on their special day of celebrating their love.

“Bree and her team absolutely MADE our wedding! It was the best day of our lives by far and it had so much to do with Bree making sure everything went smoothly and went off without a hitch. Because the day was so overwhelmingly exciting and joyful, my husband and I would have forgotten to do so many things if Bree hadn’t been there to have everything ready for things like ceremony music, speeches, cake cutting, moving people to their tables, etc. Before the wedding, I had many phone conversations with Bree that were extremely helpful. She gave thoughtful recommendations for vendors and communicated with them directly before the big day and during. I never even talked with the caterers during the wedding and only saw the florist when she dropped off the flowers- everything else was organized by Bree so I didn’t even have to think about it and could just enjoy. My mom and dad were BEYOND pleased with all that Bree did for us. She was there the day before to help us with rehearsal and all day long during the wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend her. She’s also just a lovely person.”
