bride and groom with horses brasada ranch

Rustic Elegance at Brasada

Rachael and Ryan were married at Brasada Ranch in April 2019. The rustic elegance of the venue spoke directly to their wedding vision. It was truly the perfect location to share their vows and celebrate with friends and family.

The day started with the couple getting ready in separate rooms with their wedding parties. Ryan and his groomsmen got dressed in blue jeans, deep blue ties, and light grey vests. They then shared some drinks out of their groomsmen gifts, custom engraved pint glasses.

Rachael got ready with her bridesmaids in a suite on the property. Her romantic makeup was done by Eye Shine Beauty and she wore a gorgeous ball gown with a horsehair skirt from The White Dress. After putting her boots and earrings on, it was time to grab the beers and head down to their first look.

They shared their first look on the stunning Trestle Bridge at Brasada Ranch. With a couple of Apocalypse IPAs from 10 Barrel, they chatted on the bridge, while Bridget from Lundyn Bridge Photography took some gorgeous photos! Mike Hiatt Media shot the stunning video of their magical wedding day.

From their first look, Rachael and Ryan headed over to the Range restaurant for some wedding party and family photos. The bridal party was dressed in flowy, deep blue dresses, and held lush bouquets full of white and blush roses and seeded eucalyptus from Posie Shoppe

Their ceremony was held inside of The Range in front of the sprawling fireplace. The mix of wood and natural elements made the room so gorgeous, no ceremony decor was needed. The couple shared their personal vows, Ryan’s being handwritten on a mini scroll. After a lot of laughs and a few tears, Rachael and Ryan were announced as husband and wife, and they shared their first kiss.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour with delicious drinks and yummy appetizers. The couple’s guest book was an embossed wine barrel top. They offered wedding mad libs to guests to enjoy a fun activity during the hour. Rachael and Ryan snuck away for a few minutes to sign their marriage license with their maid of honor and best man. It provided to be the perfect time to run outside and take some photos under the rainbow that developed during the ceremony.

Over in the barn, reception was ready for the guests. Long wood tables were lined with white runners, magnolia leaf garlands, and romantic candles. Minimalist white place settings were the perfect addition to the rustic decor. Fire pits were lit on the lawn with cozy blankets, providing the perfect spot for guests to catch up.

Before the night began, Rachael and Ryan were able to sneak away for some photos with the Brasada Ranch horses, one of their favorite moments of the day! When they returned, the guests enjoyed toasts, the first dance, parent dances, and the cake cutting. The guests all jumped up to join in the bouquet and garter toss, and after that enjoyed dancing the night away with Bend Event Sound as the DJ.

We provided our day-of coordination package for the couple to enjoy their day, without worrying about a thing!

“Bree is remarkable! She is very professional, personable, timely, creative, calm, and trustworthy. We enjoyed meeting up with her before the wedding, bouncing ideas off of her, and getting to know her. We both had complete trust in her for our day to go smoothly. There is so much behind the scenes that the bride, groom, wedding party, and guests have no idea about.. Bree communicated and met with our other vendors, creating a timeline to accommodate everyone. She provided me with vendor references, special opportunities, and was flexible with last minute changes. One of them, moving the wedding indoors last minute AND finding the marriage certificate I had forgot in my bag in another building! I really appreciated her organization and staying calm at all times, we needed that on the big day. She set up all of our decor based on my inspiration photos, and it was beyond what I thought possible, it was stunning!! We give the highest recommendation of The Indigo Bride, your planning experience and wedding celebration will be amazing with their help and guidance. Bree, thank you so much for enabling us enjoying our day, you did so much for us and I cannot express my gratitude enough!” – Rachael + Ryan

Romance in the Spring

Laura and Travis had their romantic spring wedding at Tetherow Resort in April 2019. They both got ready in separate houses located on the property. Laura had her natural makeup and polished updo done by Cassidy Elise. She wore a modern, low back dress with pearl hair accessories and blue embellished heels. Travis wore dark blue pants, a brown tweed vest, and a baby blue tie.

They shared their first look inside a private lounge in Tetherow. Julie Morgan Photography took all of their amazing photos. After the first look, it was time for family photos and wedding party photos. Everyone dressed in a similar color theme, with pops of pastel blues and purples. And who could forget their adorable pup, complete with a floral collar full of fluffy hydrangeas?!

As guests walked into the building, they were greeted by a welcome table with a unique framed guest book. Laura and Travis held their ceremony inside Tetherow, in front of the sprawling fireplace. The mantle was lined with flowers and candles. Large vases with spring branches flanked the fireplace, and little bouquets of baby’s breath hung on the wood ceremony chairs to line the aisle. The stunning florals were all created by Bend Floral Artistry.

Laura and Travis shared an intimate ceremony with their family and friends, and pup! After exchanging vows, rings, and a kiss, it was time to start the party. We stole them away with their maid of honor and best man to sign their marriage license. We like to use this time to give the couple a few minutes to enjoy some drinks, appetizers, and alone time, before they get swept up into the rest of the day.

Everyone enjoyed cocktail hour in the foyer, with appetizers and drinks. The couple took the time to hear toasts from their closest friends and family members. After cocktail hour, guests were seated inside for reception, and it was time for the grand entrances! The wedding party danced their way inside, while Travis took the opportunity to slide in, running right into the head table! It was a great moment full of laughs, that truly showed the joy and playfulness of the couple.

A welcome toast from Laura and Travis got dinner started. After a delicious meal from Tetherow, the couple shared their first dance and parent dances with their mother and father. After that, it was open dance for the guests! And Laura and Travis were able to sneak away for some amazing sunset photos on the back lawn of Tetherow.

After some dancing, the couple enjoyed cutting their cake, and sharing desserts, which included chocolate chip cookies and macaroons. As everyone returned to dancing, Laura and Travis took some larger group photos of guests that they knew from different facets of their lives. It was a great way to get guest photos of those very special guests!

The day was full of family and fun. And we were so happy to provide our day-of coordination service to make sure everyone could relax and truly enjoy the day!

“Bree of The Indigo Bride help keep my wedding day on track! I hired her for day of coordination and she did a great job helping to organize some of my personal touches for the reception and stay on time. It was nice to not have to think about anything but fun on wedding day!” – Travis

Moody wedding head table decor

Dark And Moody Inspo

We designed this styled shoot to play with some dark and moody vibes. We were inspired by velvet textures, modern lines, black accents, and edgy decor. Brasada Ranch was the clear choice for our shoot location. Their giant, modern fireplace and wooden barn were the perfect accents to play off of. Gwen Shoemaker Photography took all of our gorgeous photographs.

Cassidy Elise supplied the hair and makeup, complete with a moody red lip and silver flakes on the bride’s cheeks. The super cool crystal crown was provided by Emma Katzka. And the modern, sleek rings were provided by our very own local jewelry shop, Pave Fine Jewelry. The Mrs Box provided the gorgeous rose velvet ring box. Letters and Dust created the romantic invitation suite and save the date.

The bride’s dress was provided by Sweet Caroline Styles. Her flowy black skirt combined with a fitted, lace top was the perfect attire for these moody vibes. The groom’s suite was from The Black Tux. I mean, who isn’t dying over this rose colored suite!?

The Posie Shoppe created the stunning pillars that these two got hitched between. We added in some pews from Heirlooms and Co to complete our ceremony look. Posie Shoppe did all of the florals, from the bride’s stunning bouquet to the groom’s pocket square boutonniere to the floral runner.

After the ceremony, it was time to eat! So we munched down on some delicious appetizers and drinks from Brasada Ranch. With rentals from Heirlooms and Co, we were able to design an appetizer display station, complete with a stunning black cake from Dreamin’ Desserts. We also hand crafted the maroon paper overhang and balloon display. Just a small custom design installation to make this space pop!

Moving on from appetizers, we made our way to the head table, situated beautifully under Brasada’s stunning fireplace. We hung our “Lovestruck” neon sign, custom made by Brite Lite, over the mantle with rose and maroon candles lighting the way. We lined the table with black velvet linens and rose velvet napkins from La Tavola. Each place setting consisted of black dishware, silver accents, acrylic name cards made by Heirlooms and Co, and disco ball decor. But what truly made the table was Posie Shoppe’s organic, wild floral runner. The piece was created in a pink and maroon ombre color palette, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful!

Our couple then spent some time on the beautiful grounds of Brasada, taking stunning portraits and spending some quiet time together. Finally, they cuddled up in our lounge, complete with rentals and a welcome sign from Heirlooms and Co.

We loved getting to exercise our creativity with this moody shoot. And we had such a great time with all of the vendors involved. Thank you to everyone, it was such a beautiful day!

Magical Winter Wedding

Heidi and Nate were granted a wedding by Wish Upon A Wedding, when they applied for the program after Heidi received a devastating diagnosis. With little time left, they wanted to make the most out of every moment, and for them, that meant getting married. Wish Upon A Wedding reached out to us to plan Heidi and Nate’s donation wedding within one month, given that time was truly of the essence. It was a challenge to pull everything together within a month, but it was also so rewarding to provide a dream wedding to a couple facing such difficult circumstances. All of the vendors involved gave so much to make this wedding happen. We are so grateful to everyone who gave their time, energy and money to pull together such a beautiful and intimate wedding for such an amazing and strong couple.

Ely Roberts donated his photography services, but the day before the wedding, a giant snow storm rolled in! Unable to make it back to Bend in time, he called on Tony Gambino to take the shots, while Ely edited the photos. We also had Mike Hiatt Media film the event, and provide gorgeous footage of this magically snowy day.

Edge Hair and Makeup provided natural and soft makeup for our bride Heidi. The Posie Shoppe created all of the beautiful florals, from the Bride’s bouquet to the Groom’s boutonniere, to the garland that ran the length of our reception tables. Chalked Creative designed and printed invitations for the couple, as well as created calligraphy signs for the big day.

The High Desert Museum hosted the event, while Illuminate Your Night donated their services, and lit up the hall with their zigzag bistro lighting. The candle decor were rentals donated by Curated Event Rentals, along with the wood tables and glassware. The flatware was a donated rental from Set In Your Way Rentals. The linens were donated by Linen Tablecloth.

All of the delicious appetizers, entrees and drinks were donated by Bowtie Catering. Casey Parnell performed live music for the guests, while Bend Event Sound tended to the DJ equipment.

Central Oregon Daily News covered the story of Heidi and Nate’s dream wedding. The love and commitment between these two was so apparent and heartwarming. It was an honor to provide this moment of love and joy for a couple that has faced so many difficulties. And we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make their dream wedding a reality.

Vintage ’70s Inspiration

It all started with a group of talented wedding vendors that wanted to come together and create something beautiful. Anna from Anna Caitlin Photography led the way with a vision to create a styled shoot that was inspired by the ‘70s, with neutral colors and pops of mustard yellow, burnt orange, and fig. With such a rich and vibrant design idea and color palette, we created a scene that was both romantic and playful.

Shooting at The Portland Studio, we started the day with a white backdrop and loads of imagination. The Scribblist created a whimsical invitation suite on handmade paper dipped with a burnt orange accent. Her calligraphy also stood out on a wooden welcome sign, inviting guests to step into our unique wedding vision.

For the ceremony, I created and handmade the ivory paper streamer hanging that served as the ceremony backdrop. I loved how it was reminiscent of the ever popular ‘70s fringe. It also had such beautiful movement, which added a great texture and design element to the ceremony space. It was the perfect statement piece to make the ceremony stand out, without being visually overwhelming.

Our model Dana provided the gorgeous, chunky jewelry she wore from her company Dana Robinson Jewelry. Portland Makeup and Hair did her natural makeup and big, wild hair. The flowy, vintage-reminiscent dress was provided by BHLDN. For our groom, we wanted to do something a little different, so Small Yard Flowers made him a flower crown! Which perfectly complimented his vermilion pants, corduroy jacket, and floral tie.

For the head table, we paired wood elements with amber accents, textured pottery, and natural linens to establish those ‘70s vibes with modern pieces. Wicker chairs, sheepskin blankets, and a vintage rug also gave a nod to the past. Finally, we added some brass candlesticks with ivory and fig taper candles, along with tealight candles in amber votives, to create some romantic lighting and enhance the intimate ambiance. All of the fabulous rentals that made this scene possible were provided by Curated Event Rentals.

Small Yard Flowers created all of the beautiful floral pieces throughout this shoot. Her hanging floral piece was perfect for portraits and to hang over the head table. Mixed with dried florals, orange accents, and pampas grass, her organic fall flowers made us all swoon. The combination of the hanging flowers and the table centerpiece inside of a ceramic vase pulled everything together. And I couldn’t forget the menus, name cards and chair signs that The Scribblist created to bring in even more 70s flair.

And then it was time for the appetizers! P’s and Q’s Market made some extraordinary charcuterie boards to compliment our theme. She carefully chose colors and textures to build some amazing boards, that were also extremely delicious! We turned our head table into a sweet heart table so our smitten couple could enjoy some time alone to eat.

On to dessert! Dream Cakes created a simple white cutting cake complete with dried orange slices and golden figs. Our couple also enjoyed some Malvi Marshmallow treats, perfectly bite-sized and easy for sharing. For the cake table, we used similar decor, adding a vintage champagne decanter, a playful dessert sign, and plenty of dried orange slices.

We ended the day with some jumping photos, because what is a shoot without jumping photos!?!

Iridescent Celestial Wedding

Jessica and Philip got married on a snowy February day in Bend, Oregon at Aspen Hall. And they started the day off by getting ready. Edge Hair and Makeup beautifully applied Jessica’s makeup, complete with a head turning red lip. After putting on her sleek, modern gown from A&Be Bridal Shop and her crystal crown made by Elemental Child, all that was left was a pair of chunky, grey velvet heels and she was ready for her big day.

Four Eyes Photographers captured the day and their loving first look. After some bride and groom portraits, they spent some time with their wedding party. The bridesmaids were dressed in sleek black dresses and giant fur coats, while the groomsmen wore black suits and floral ties.

Guests were welcomed by a modern wedding sign and polaroid guest book. The ceremony was decorated with strands upon strands of string lights and hanging iridescent stars. To complete the look, a neon sign saying “Lovestruck” (a rental provided by us!) hung on the large fireplace that acted as their ceremony backdrop.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed food provided by El Sancho, from their mobile food cart waiting right outside. Guest tables were adorned with black satin linens. Crystals, bud vases,  and unique candle votives lined the tables, rented from Curated Event Rentals. A bar rented from Heirlooms and Co provided guests a fabulous place to grab their drinks.

After dinner, we enjoy dessert! Foxtail Bakeshop created a beautiful cutting cake, complete with iridescent star toppers. The rest of the table was filled with custom flavors of mini pies. If leftovers are any indicator of how good dessert is, I’d say this dessert killed it, because there wasn’t much left at the end of the night.

The rest of the night was filled with toasts, cake cutting, dancing, and even a piñata! This was the edgy, alternative wedding of my dreams. All those celestial and iridescent accents made my heart swoon. And I think the bride and groom liked it a little bit too! 😉

Romantic Fall Wedding in Sunriver

Bonnie and Bob married at Sunriver Resort on a late September day. The leaves were turning and beautiful colors of yellow, red, and orange provided a stunning backdrop for their fall wedding day.

The day started with getting ready, of course! Bonnie slipped on her gorgeous flowy gown, complete with her sparkly blush wedding shoes, and had her hair and makeup done by Edge Hair and Makeup.

First up for the day’s photos, was the First Look. Photographer Allison Harp captured the heart warming moment Bonnie and Bob shared, each reading hand written notes to each other. After some more bride and groom portraits, the couple shared a few moments with their wedding party. The bridesmaids were dressed in mix-and-match dresses in fall colors, such as oxblood, mustard, emerald, and blush. The groomsmen looked dapper in matching grey suits and teal ties.

Their welcome table was styled with a vintage typewriter to display their Save The Date, a wooden welcome sign, and a classic suitcase for guests’ cards. But the true showstopper was the ceremony arch. A simple wooden arbor decked out with whimsical, romantic florals by HART Floral. The mix of blush tones and fall leaves truly made this arbor stand out, but still blend in with the fall surroundings.

Bonnie and Bob held a touching ceremony, followed by a joyous cocktail hour. Bonnie snuck away with her girls for a few more photos, including some badass poses with everyone in leather jackets.

On to the reception! Their reception was held in Sunriver Resort’s Great Hall. The wooden hall looked exquisite with string lights and round guest tables in white linens and pops of color from teal napkins. Organic floral centerpieces made by HART Floral sat on top of vintage books adorned with silver mercury votive candles.

A “CHEERS” sign sat in front of the head table, a play on words to their last name, Beers. And favors of personalized pint glasses would remind the guests of this magical day for years to come.

After a grand entrance, toasts, and sunset photos, it was on to dancing and drinking! I mean who wouldn’t enjoy a party with a whiskey and cigar bar?! Every carefully chosen detail came together beautifully for their romantic fall wedding.

Modern Lodge Wedding In The Woods

Beth and Matt had an early August wedding at Rock Springs Ranch in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Beth started the day by getting ready with her bridesmaids at one of the cabins located on the property. Cassidy Elise provided hair and makeup for the girls. While Beth’s mom, sister and friends helped her into her dress, Matt and his groomsmen relaxed with some beers and a little football. After getting ready, Beth and Matt shared their first look. The moment was full of laughter, kisses, and their beloved pup, Dutch, who was also dressed to the nines in his matching blue suit.

The bouquets and boutonnieres were expertly crafted by Hey You Flowers. They perfectly matched the color palette of light green, blush and grey. After some fun photos with the bridal party and family, it was time for the ceremony. Beth looked absolutely gorgeous walking down to her soon-to-be husband, and the heartfelt and personal ceremony had every guest feeling the love. After signing their marriage license, it was time to party!

Guests walked up to the front lawn, where they were greeted by a large balloon installation on the lodge, which was designed, created and installed by us, The Indigo Bride! From there, guests grabbed personalized cocktails and passed apps provided by Bleu Bite Catering. They also signed the couple’s guest book, by signing customized puzzle pieces. Umbrellas and bistro tables rented from Central Event Rentals kept guests cool and relaxed while they mingled and played lawn games. During cocktail hour, Beth and Matt hosted a receiving line, so they could say hello to each and every guest. When you have a guest count over 125, we like to recommend having a receiving line, this ensures that you get to greet and thank all of your guests!

Beth and Matt had toasts out on the open lawn, where friends and family shared in the laughter and love. Heading into the reception, guests found their seats on a modern gold wire display. Long tables lined with greenery and dahlias greeted the guests. Place settings of gold chargers and matching gold silverware, completed the modern, minimalist vibes. Another large balloon installation in the wedding’s color palette hung above the guests as they sat for dinner, on chairs rented from Central Event Rentals. On each plate sat a prayer, that was sung together by the entire crowd to honor their family tradition.

During the family style dinner, served by Bleu Bite Catering, Beth’s sister surprised her with a toast that included pictures of Beth’s niece recreating treasured photos of Beth as a child. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! After dinner, came dessert, a display full of finger foods, including brownies and cookies, provided by Bleu Bite Catering. And of course, the wedding wouldn’t have been complete without a piñata or two! One full of candy for the children, and one full of liquor bottles for the adults, was the perfect segue into a night full of dancing, DJed by Dave Clemens.

All of Beth and Matt’s beautiful photos were done by Natalie Puls. Beth and Matt purchased a day-of coordination package from us, in addition to the custom designed balloon installations. We coordinated their timeline and vendors leading up to their wedding day. On the big day, we setup and styled the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Finally, we guided the processional and all of the scheduled events, handled any issues that arose and ensured the night ran smoothly so Beth, Matt and all of their guests could stay in the moment and experience every smile.

Micro Wedding with a Breathtaking View

Marian and Clayton married off the beaten path by Round Lake in Oregon with a scenic mountain backdrop. They started the day by getting ready with friends and family. Austin Gale did Marian’s hair and natural makeup. Marian shared a special moment with her grandmothers, when she revealed her gorgeous gown. Marian had one of her grandmothers hand embroider flowers and carrots on her dress. She had lace added to her gown that was handmade by her other grandmother. The heart warming moment that followed was the start of a very loving day.

After some photos with family and friends, Marian shared her first look with her father, who was overwhelmed with joy when he saw his beautiful daughter all dressed for her big day. From there, the small wedding traveled out to Round Lake for the ceremony.

Marian’s stunning bouquet was created by The Posie Shoppe. Bright colors of pink and orange mixed with Marian’s favorite vegetables made the perfect floral statement. Marian walked down the aisle with her father. The enchanting ceremony was filled with laughter, love and tears. It took place in front of their personal canoe, adorned with floral arrangements, beautifully made by The Posie Shoppe.

After their first kiss and family photos, Marian and Clayton explored the land for some jaw-dropping photos. The lake, mountains and trees that surrounded them created the perfect backdrop for their loving union. They even found some time for a quick row around the lake to steal some time for themselves.

The wedding party returned to The Church in downtown Bend, Oregon for cocktail hour and reception. Cocktail hour was held outside with a bright yellow ballon backdrop. We created the balloon backdrop to highlight the space and Marian’s favorite color. The Posie Shoppe added florals within the balloons to add even more whimsy to the installation.

The reception was help inside with tableware rentals from West Coast Event Productions and table rentals from Set In Your Way Rentals. We designed the modern table settings to feature clean lines and bright colors. The Posie Shoppe created and installed the gorgeous floral chandeliers that hung over the tables. Too Sweet Cakes made the vegetable cookie favors and the delicious cronuts and french macaroons.

Marian’s aunt and uncle expertly catered the event, with delicious bite-sized appetizers and a family style meal served in the middle of the table. The setting was perfect for friends and family to come together and celebrate the special day.

All of these stunning photos were captured by the amazing Ely Roberts. He perfectly reflected the intimate joy of the day within these gorgeous shots.
