Carolyn and Jonathan were married on a perfect summer day in August, 2019. As locals to Bend, Oregon, the couple enjoyed inviting all of their family and friends from all over the US to experience the natural beauty of the area. They selected the rustic yet luxurious resort of Brasada Ranch to have as their home base for the long weekend of adventures and celebrating.

The wedding day kicked off with hair and makeup by Cassidy Elise for the ladies in one of the Ranch’s well-appointed cabins. The guys got ready in a suite at the Ranch House. It was then time for the first look under the resort’s historic Trestle Bridge. Carolyn’s bouquet by Bend Bouquets was dazzling; with a mix of eucalyptus, roses, anemones, and fresh hops! The groom and groomsmen boutonnieres also featured fresh hops, an ode to the couple’s love of handcrafted beers. Danielle Gillett Photography captured this moment beautifully, along with providing photography throughout the day.

Carolyn and Jonathan exchanged vows on the expansive Range Lawn. The ceremony site was decorated with wine barrels from Heirlooms & Co. with lush floral arrangements and a view of the Cascade mountain range. The Popcorn Trio provided live music throughout the ceremony. The bridesmaids wore a mix of neutral blue and gray dresses, while the groomsmen wore dapper navy blue suits with baby blue ties. The flower girls stole the show with their fresh hop and baby’s breath flower crowns and adorable white sundresses.

The guests were then escorted to The Barn for cocktail hour. They were greeted by a vintage trailer converted to a mobile bar, The Swig Rig. It was adorned with a fresh hop installation and the bartenders inside served fresh-tapped local IPA’s and the couple’s favorite signature cocktails. Everyone enjoyed playing lawn games, eating hors d’ oeuvres, and the music provided by the DJ, Bend Event Sound

The guests were then directed to the custom table assignment display, which had each table name as a different national park that the couple had visited. Each guest table also featured a photo of the couple at each specific national park, which led to a lot of interesting conversations about travel for the guests. The reception was set with wooden farm tables, ivory linen napkins, fresh hop and eucalyptus garlands, metallic votive candles, custom menu cards, and gold flatware from West Coast Event Productions. The guests were served a family-style dinner of local Columbia River steelhead fish and red wine braised short ribs. After dinner and toasts, the guests were invited outside to the lawn area where a dance floor and bistro lighting was installed by O’Brien Events. Carrot cake cupcakes (the groom’s favorite!) along with local Bonta Gelato were served for dessert. The classic Italian gelato case was decorated with a navy blue and white balloon installation from The Indigo Bride. The evening continued with dancing, drinking, and an epic Central Oregon sunset!

We were so thrilled to be a part of this creative wedding and recommend that couples follow suit by finding unique, yet impactful ways to personalize their special celebration. We loved providing our Day-Of Coordination package for Carolyn and Jonathan to ensure their day was smooth sailing!

“A seamless and beautiful day thanks to Bree! This will sound a little over the top but I literally have NO idea what we would have done without Bree’s help. We hired Bree as a day of coordinator but she is so much more! Upon our very first meeting, I trusted Bree. She is incredibly responsive, upbeat, organized and I just knew she would understand our vision and bring it to life. Throughout the entire process Bree was so helpful (she gave us fantastic vendor recommendations), so collected and just an absolute gem to work with. When I told her I was looking for gold finished flatware to rent, and I was convinced it didn’t exist in Central Oregon, Bree literally found it, in like 4 hours! When it came to the final few weeks I was starting to feel overwhelmed with needing to manage everything but also make time for my family and friends. That is when Bree quite simply came in and just handled it. It was truly what made me sleep better at night. Our planning meetings continually put me at ease, our rehearsal was super smooth and the day was a dream. I feel SO lucky that we hired Bree. Seriously, don’t hesitate – she is worth every penny (and quite possibly more). Thank you Bree. Our wedding was truly the most beautiful, fun, and special day of our lives. You were an integral part of that – we are eternally grateful!”
